![]() I ran Driver Manager and got a message that my system didn't need any additional drivers, which was obviously not true. The only available monitor setting was 800 x 600 and my monitor is Captiva E1904W 1440 x 900 (BTW, the system recognized it as Unknown, while previous versions detected its proper brand and model). Yes, I know they are built into the Linux kernel, but for some reason they did not load and run. The first - and most annoying - one was the lack of proper Intel Graphics drivers. However, there were some hardware issues unlike previous installations. This time the process was not so easy, but after some search for help in the Net I was able to complete partitioning the drive and installing the OS. A couple of days ago I purchased a new PC with a SSD (UEFI, Intel Core i5 CPU with built-in graphics card) and tried to install LM 19.3 MATE. ![]() My recent version was 18.3 on a PC with 1 TB HDD. Hardware detection has been automatic and fast, and system settings correctly adjusted. I have been a LM user since version 17, and installation/usage have always been smooth with only minor issues.
